The hilarious and entertaining movie “21 Jump Street”
starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum was based on the hit television series
from the 1980’s starring Johnny Depp. The movie is set in the same chronology
as the series. It has a similar plot and concept. The series was about a group
of undercover police officers who investigated crimes in high schools, teenage
venues and colleges, with their headquarters at an old church building. I will
discuss the main differences for example the change from television series to
film. I will also move into the finer details such as the added humour and charisma
of the characters.
“The Fault in our Stars” is a
novel by John Green brought to live by director Josh Boone when the movie was
released on June 6, 2014. The title was inspired by a scene from Shakespeare’s “Julius
Caesar”. There are various differences from the book to film. Many scenes from
the novel was cut in the film due to time. However, the plot and characters are
not changed and the film draws inspiration from the novel.
My last idea is that of the novel
“The devil wears prada” that lead to the hit movie starring Meryl Streep and
Anne Hathaway. The novel and is about a simple and naive journalist who is
hired by to work as an assistant of the merciless Miranda Priestly. There are a
few minor changes that I will explore such as Miranda is American in the novel
and British in the film.
