genealogy project ideas

My 1^st idea for my genealogy project is to look at scary movies such as The Purge, The Strangers, You’re Next and other movies like these and see if they are samples of each other. They are all similar too each other from the mask and disguises to the killing of random people. Each movie has the same kind of story. I would start with the movie that came out most recently and then work my way back chronologically to see how each movie sampled the last and how they were transformed into the piece they are now.

My 2^nd idea is to look at certain music artists that sample other music artists the most and why and also look at what music artists are sampled the most and why. I plan on using the resource you gave us in class and researching the most sampled music and chronologically describing the tracks that were made from sampling that music. I think if I did this idea I would use just one genre of music and go from there. I will only use a few songs and go into detail on them.

My 3^rd idea is to look at the fast food industry and how it has developed. I would look at the first fast food companies and then look who came along and took their ideas and changed them for their one fast food restaurants. I would look at White castle franchise and how McDonalds came and used the White Castle formula when they opened their store. I would research the stores that followed and took McDonald’s ideas and transformed them. I would start with the first ever fast food store and chronologically work my way up to now and what restaurants are opening up now and what ideas they took.
