Ideas for my genealogy project
George Campbell
1. The movie Annie
2. The song juicy
3. Miracle on 34th street remade
The movie “Annie” was originated in 1982 it was a musical that had a humorous and drama aspect to it. This film came from a Broadway musical which had the same exact name and had a similar background. But in 2014 Will Smith selected to remake the 1982 film “Annie”. Will Smith then took the time to add his own juice and spices to it along with some help of Jay-Z, Sony entertainment and director Will Gluck along with the main character Quvenzhané Wallis. The major differences between the films was that the ethnicity of the main characters have changed. Also his selection of music. The music went from older to more modern music.

The song “Juicy” was a remake of a song called “Juicy Fruit” this song originated in 1983 by a group called Mtume. In 1994, Biggie remixed this song. He added a little more to the beat and he also changed the lyrics to fit his own style of music. The original version was made to please R&B lovers, while biggie remixed it to get all of the hip hop lovers on to their feet at shows and to jam to it in their cars with the speakers loud. After being remade the song “Juicy” then became a top hit across the music industry. You can hear the different tones between the two as well.

“Miracle on 34th Street” was a film that was written and originated in 1947 it is a film based on Christmas. In 1994 it was later written and produced by John Hughes. In the movie there was a different setting that went along with each movie. There was black and white then it was translated to have color. They also changed the people and the role.
