“Brainstorm ideas for your remediation – Name three different audiences for which you might
remediate your Genealogy essay, and the appropriate medium for those audiences”
My genealogy project was on several adaptations of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
first audience- college students to hear how pride and prejudice has influenced literature
second audience- Jane Austen fans to consider which adaptation was the best
third audience- screenplay writers/authors to learn how to make better film adaptations/write novels
Pick a specific part of the book & show the clips in a video from the different remixes I talked about in my project (the scenes from the movies/slides of quotes from the books). Compare how they are similar/different to the original novel.
An idea for the actual project would be to have Jane Austen host a show where all the characters that represent Elizabeth in the later adaptations argue about why their adaptation is the best one.
I think either of these ideas would work. How would the content of the video change according to these different audiences? Would the content change? You could do a mix of both ideas, where Austen, the host, introduces each clip and then have the actresses make their case.
